On April 16th, come celebrate at the We Love Earth Festival, sponsored by 350 Silicon Valley. Full details are at the 350SiliconValley.org website.
Sat, April 16, 2022
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
215 Bay Road, Menlo Park
The We Love Earth Festival is a free event where we’ll celebrate our beautiful planet while learning about a host of actions we can collectively take to address the climate crisis.
You’ll be able to learn more about everything from how to create a climate-friendly home to sustainable eating, active and electric transportation, as well as local and state climate advocacy. Exhibitors and presenters for the We Love Earth Festival are experts in their field and will be available to answer any questions you’ve had but didn’t know where to turn for answers!
And since this is a festival, you know we’ll have entertainment! You can look forward to art projects and a variety of live animal encounters.
Plant-based cooking demonstrations: Matthew Guelke, Founder and CEO of The Plant Cafe Organic, and Lynna Martinez, Founder of Cuban Kitchen from 11am – 12:30pm. Each of them will use induction hobs and ingredients that normally go to waste!
Speakers: Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen, Menlo Park Mayor Betsy Nash, East Palo Alto Mayor Ruben Abrica, Menlo Park Councilmember Cecilia Taylor, Assemblymember Marc Berman, and State Senator Josh Becker
Story Time: Oak Knoll School’s librarian Ms. Bennion will host a story time in the morning and Menlo Park librarian Rose Waldman will host one in the afternoon.
Animal Encounters: Junior Museum & Zoo will be bringing Sequoia the eagle, and Lizard Lady Reptiles will bring a variety of her reptiles to show!
More details to come, and if you RSVP, you will be emailed updates along the way!
