6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Flood Park, 215 Bay Road, Menlo Park
Our evening begins at 6 p.m. with a presentation by experienced pump track riders and designers. You’ll see early track designs and be asked to share ideas for final design details. The bike pump track, along with a sports field and courts, some picnic areas, and park infrastructure are part of Phase 1 Flood Park improvements with construction beginning this summer.
7 – 8 p.m.
Following the pump track meeting, we invite you to experience the park as the sun begins to set. Bring a picnic and enjoy our lawn games or bring you own. The sand volleyball courts will be open for play and a vendor will sell popcorn, churros, popsicles and drinks.
We’ll also set up a place for wheeled activity free from cars. Bring your bike, scooter and skate boards.
8 p.m.
Before we show Disney’s The Emperor’s New Groove, we’ll host a raffle of park gear, a parks annual pass and more. Get your raffle ticket at the pump track meeting or from park staff.
What is a pump track?
Pump tracks are becoming more popular park features. The track typically features a looped circuit of rollers and banked turns. To progress through the course, riders “pump” rather than pedal or push.
